Magical Training

Every person enters the training as a Seeker, a title which is really never lost, for the more you grow in magical knowledge, the more you find there is to learn.  Seekers spend a bit of time in general training before branching into one of the Disciplines.

Bards spend the least time as Seekers for their path is most often obvious from their entry into the paths.  Bards are the music makers, those who use word and note to accomplish their goals, be those winning the attention of Royalty, turning the tides of war, or the smiles of their audience and a good supper.  Bards learn the basics of magic,  but worked their way quickly into music.  Do not underestimate the power of  these weavers of Songspell.  Not only can music enchant your heart and mind, but the tides of public opinion are far more difficult to overcome than an angry dragon.

Mages are what people think of when you say Magic.  The wizards of book and story.  They spend a great deal of time studying the arcane and learning new spells.  They can work as groups or alone.   There are many subsects of Mages, based on different kinds of magic; e.g. Red Mages-Fire Magic, Black Mages-Necromancy, Green Mages-Earth Magic.  Therefore progression while essentially like that of  bards can very a great deal.  Mages use their spells both spoken or gestured in the defense of the kingdom, in formal duels, and even for the occasional fire works display.  A vast library of spells exist, and while many spells are restricted to certain sects and levels creativity is encouraged.

Druids while quite a few creative changes and assumptions had to be made to fit this category into the realm of virtual Camelot, the druidic order strives to be the most historically accurate of the wizard classes.  Druids, or "the green ones", found harmony and religion in the trees and the earth.   Very little is known about the actual beliefs practices and rituals of the ancient druids, but many of their ways carry over into today's neo-pagan and earth religions.   The druid class is more likely to use actual spells, language, and rituals than any other class.  Individual beliefs, of course, vary.  But at its core our druidic order bases its vision on respect and reverence for the power of the Earth, the Sky, and the Tree. The tree being a bridge between t he two realms.  The druidic motto is "The Truth Against the World.". The druids live in the forests of Camelot, communing with natue, and living a free life, they follow thier own hearts, dislike being held in, be it by walls or rules.

Sisters of Avalon, sisters to the druids, these are the women who keep the sacred mysteries of the Isle of Avalon safe from those who would have them.   Gaurdians of the Mirror of Avalon, the Chalice Well, and Sacred Cauldron, the sister live a Strict and ordered life, bound by the island and the laws of their order.   The Isle of Avalon is a place of limitations, for the Sisters believe when one takes away their choices, a perfect path remains, free of distraction, where ones intution guides one without doubt.
